ELLIE is on the struggle bus. She’s a broke college student with 2 jobs, taking a full load of classes this quarter. She has $5 in her bank account and just really wants pizza. Plus, she doesn’t get paid for 2 more days and the only food she has at her tiny apartment are spaghetti noodles and expired food. more this week. MARLENE is annoyed. She is 65 and still trying to wrap her head around today’s advanced technology. Her son got her an the darn thing. She really just wants to call her granddaughter to tell her about how her favorite American Idol singer just won but of course that pesky iPhone is acting up again. In a world of smartphones, hoverboards and “the YouTube,” as Marlene calls it, sometimes you need to just take a break and remind yourself of the simple things in life. ALAINA is a mess. She is sitting on her couch ugly Kim Kardashian crying while eating cookie dough ice cream and watching legally blonde because she just got dumped by her boyfriend of 3 years. Jennifer had a real tough day today. She’s a mom of three and as we all know, being a mom can be hard. Today she was disaster, which also made her late to work. Her boss hated her marketing pitch so the countless hours she spent on it was for nothing. After work, she had to run errands and go grocery once they got home. Jennifer, we feel you girl.
